Fairfax, VA — The American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery and the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators today announced a new partnership with Yale University. Together, ASOA and Yale have created an Executive Management Program offered through the Yale School of Management that addresses the critical business and management needs of individuals involved in ophthalmic medical practices and associated businesses.
“The Yale program is an executive-level, certificate course designed for the senior physician or administrator responsible for managing the practice. Its focus is on financial management, marketing strategy, organizational management, and strategic planning,” said ASOA Executive Director Lucy Santiago.
This year’s program is scheduled for July 29-August 1, 2004. Classes will be held on the Yale campus in New Haven, Connecticut over a weekend in order to minimize time away from the practice. Registration fee includes housing, food, and all course materials. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 credits and CEC for Certified Ophthalmic Executives.
